Burberry’s Steve McQueen film: the chemistry of desire
The British heritage brand Burberry goes from strength to strength, and a seductive new men’s scent is the latest expression of the winning formula
With its London backdrop, the advertisement is no less the story of the brand’s love affair with the city. “I think London and style are synonymous,” McQueen explains. “There’s something about being young in London. When I was growing up, it was about your appearance, what you put on. But it wasn’t about the money in your pocket; it was about what you could do. London was about invention. It’s always been like that: making it your own. I wanted to reflect that.”
